![]() ![]() Poster for 1982 Guy Hamilton Evil Under the SunĪs usual I will begin with a ***SPOILER*** alert. She embodies the character Agatha Christie wrote. How very fortunate we are to have her as Arlena Stuart forever. I had considered not putting this out but I thought it might serve as my small tribute to her in one of her most iconic roles and one loved so very much by Agatha Christie fans. This column is all about Agatha Christie adaptations and I had begun work on writing about Evil under the Sun when the sad news broke that Dame Diana Rigg had sadly passed away. ![]() She was both Emma Peel and James Bond’s on screen wife. She had an inherently intelligent, astute nature that meant she could play in Shakespeare, The Worst Witch and Game of Thrones with equal grace, intellect and a truly beguiling screen presence. Not just beautiful but immensely talented, with an effortless glamour that was magnetic. It was a huge sadness to hear of the death of Dame Diana Rigg – a glorious actress in so many ways. Like Logan Mountstuart, Roland Baines doesn’t really develop: he acquires no particular wisdom or insight over the years. Ian McEwan’s Lessons is what I think of as a “soup to nuts” novel, one that, like William Boyd’s Any Human Heart, earns our interest in its protagonist just by sticking with him. His summaries were hasty, without interest. ![]() He disliked himself for complaining onto the page-about living hand to mouth, not having the right kind of work, not making a long and successful marriage. In those sections it was if he was reading of someone else’s past. A grand mass of detail was what he found and events, conversations, even people that he could not remember. There were no obvious themes, no undercurrents he had not noticed at the time, nothing learned. Reading back since 1986 did not bring him any fresh understanding of his life. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This was just so much fun and the color schemes make my eyes happy.:D This was a lot of fun to color after taking a long break. I'm so proud of this because it took me forever to do! This is probably one of my favorite pieces so far and I love the concept of just using pinks and blue tones as the basis for the piece. It took me a while to do this one because I was so busy, but I'm definitely going to take time when I feel stressed to do this while I watch a movie or TV. I messed up a little bit on one of the color patterns, but I really like the design the more I look at it. I used fine, fine tip Sharpies and Crayola color pencils. This image took me about four days to color. ![]() The end result or even just completing small portions of the page makes me truly happy to see that I've participated in bringing a simple image to life. I've started my journey into adult coloring and so far have discovered that it's a relaxing process. ![]() ![]() ![]() Even if it rejects both paths, Idwe will still ultimately run out of fuel and impact with whatever destination has the right mass and position to draw in the Hellas Fos. ![]() Dergelijke partijen plaatsen cookies (third party cookies).
